I-57 runs northbound from Sikeston, Missouri, over the Mississippi River and continues all the way to Chicago. I-55 intersects I-57, providing access north to St. Louis and Chicago and south to Memphis and New Orleans.

 

Additionally, I-57 is being extended west and will eventually connect to North Little Rock, Arkansas, ending at I-40.
